Back in the 1970s,  they were interviewing a British player after the German's had won the world cup.  The  interviewer

asked the Brit, how it felt to be beaten by the Germans at the British national sport.  He responded, "That's okay.  After all,

we beat them at theirs twice this century."

"France and Germany still say they are still our allies. You know, the same way Bill and Hillary are husband and wife."
